Auf seinem famosen Debüt schlägt das irische Quintett O EMPEROR einen stilistisch vielfältigen Bogen von Indie-Pop über Westcoast-Psychedelia bis hin zu Folk-Balladen. 'Hither Tither' erscheint als CD im Digiack-Format inklusiver zwei Bonustracks auf K&F RECORDS. In ihrer Heimat Irland, wo 'Hither Tither' bereits Ende 2010 erschien, schafften es O EMPEROR bis auf Platz 6 (!) der Album-Charts und wurden obendrein für den angesehenen 'Choice Music Prize' nominiert. Eine UK-Tour im Vorprogramm von MUMFORD & SONS machte das Quintett aus Waterford auch außerhalb der grünen Insel bekannt. Mit etwas Verzögerung, dafür aber mit 2 Bonussongs (u.a. mit dem irischen RTE National Symphony Orchestra), kommt das tolle, stilistisch vielfältige und dennoch wie aus einem Guss erklingende Debüt der gerade mal knapp 20 Jahre alten Musiker hier auf den Markt. Von schwelgerischem Indie-Folk mit Streicher- und Brassbegleitung über Westcoast-Psychedelia, 70er-Rock-Elementen und klassischem Songwriting à la NEIL YOUNG oder JAMES TAYLOR begeistern O EMPEROR in dreizehn Songs mit emotionalem Tiefgang und reizvollen, ausgereiften Arrangements.
