Ich, Alexander hat sieben seiner liebsten Songs von vor ein paar Jahren noch einmal neu eingespielt und in der EP „Das Gegenteil von dem was du denkst.“ zusammengefasst. Ganz alleine mit Gitarre, Stimme, bisschen Atmo - fertig. Irgendwo zwischen American Recordings, Postrock, Berliner Schule und frühen Tocotronic, irgendwo zwischen Wut, Versöhnung und Resignation. Oder wie es im letzten Track „Mit dem Skateboard quer durch Schweden“ heißt: „Die Zukunft ist ein Tunnel und es ist egal ob ich mich beeile, oder bummel“. Da macht es am Ende auch nichts, dass diese sieben großartigen Songs eben erst jetzt, mit mehrjähriger Verspätung, erscheinen.

English:
Alexander Günther aka has picked seven of his favorite songs from a couple of years ago and re-recorded them for the EP “Das Gegenteil von dem was du denkst.” Just him, his guitar, voice, some background noise – done. Somewhere between American Recordings, Postrock, Berlin School and early Tocotronic, somewhere between anger, background noise, reconciliation and resignation. Or as the last track of the EP, “Mit dem Skateboard quer durch Schweden” goes (translated): “The future is a tunnel and it doesn’t matter whether I hurry or dawdle”. So basically, it’s not tragic that these seven great songs are only released now, with multi-year delay.
